This is my second ever exhibition piece shown in a Nottingham space, (Bonington Gallery) and my largest piece ever created, coming in around 3 metres long and 1.5 metres wide. The general idea was to go further than the digital or the sketchbook, expand the worlds I create and bring them into a larger psychical context. Creating at such a large scale had allways been a dream for me as I feel my characters and scenes deserve to be appreciated at an empowering and overwhealming size. The continuation of looking at the human body through a spirutual and scientific lense was the driving force of this project, as I implimented ideas of atomic worlds, spiritual gateways, nervious systems and more. The idea to create a giant human figure was inspired by the research into the enteric nervous system (ENS), as seen in 04. Stomach Acid (2022). I took the concpet of exploring each individual organ and split it up into the 3 brain system. The three brains being the gut, the heart, and the brain. I chose to expand on the juxtaposition between how I portrayed the brain, being a chaotic, futuristic City, while portraying the Stomach as a bio morphic, psychedllic landscape more familiar with a fantasy jungle.
